Shroom Choker

I am totally in love with this.

I got this big blue mushroom not long ago when I was buying metal charms of Jolly Rogers, and got the idea for this necklace from it, although I had no idea what it was really going to turn out like until I actually started putting it together. The silver mushrooms were something I’d bought for something, but exactly what I don’t remember – I collect mushroom-related things, so that it could explain it pretty simply. I have a blown-glass ornament from last Christmas of a wild mushroom .

The clay mushrooms and the dangly part hanging from the middle of the big blue mushroom were made and given to me by =BloodCross when I ordered a bunch of stuff from her Etsy shop, and they were the perfect accents for this project .

When I put it all together, I thought it still was missing something, so I decided to have some beads hanging off the blue mushroom, on either side of the middle dangle. The peach-colored resin seed beads at the ends of the posts were actually put on more out of necessity than actual design, since the studded beads tend to slip over the end of post D:< lol, although they pick up the yellow spots on the red mushroom very well.

I love it so much, I’m even wearing it right now . Special thanks to =BloodCross for accents she contributed to this project
